Marquise (@realhorsewomen) grew up a cowgirl in Utah helping her family break and train horses since she could walk. Her life has always revolved around the horse world and has done it all. From ranch work to driving to packing to skijoring to jousting (not kidding) and everything in between, Marquise has done it and she has the buckles to prove it. She’s a damn good trainer and founder of Sunbar Ranch.

Marquise has a holistic approach to training and it starts with groundwork. Building trust between horse and rider is paramount and the foundation of every horse she trains. You’ll see Marquise working with flags, tarps, balls, and anything else she can get her hands on and expose the horses to anything you can imagine. But we don’t just do arena work, we are out on the trails. Daily. Our horses see mountains, desert, snow, rivers, lakes, canyons, wildlife, cattle, busy roads, cities, crowded events centers, and everything in between. Sunbar Ranch horses have a comprehensive training program that starts on the ground and never stops.
